Feminist Fever

About Us

In 2013, I started this website with my friend, Riley Holden.  Like most women, we had busy, multifaceted lives.  We juggled work, chores, errands, marriage, children, relatives, activism . . .

Nevertheless, we had a passion for feminism and tried to squeeze some time to do this website.  Riley’s work, family and activist responsibilities got so intense that she had to bow out.  I had to take a break because I was so busy attending protest marches and doing everything in my power to dump Trump.

But along came the pandemic and I got a little window of time . I desperately needed to say something about how the double standard of history dampened the women’s suffrage centennial, especially since so many activists are so silent about it.

So I’m back with Feminist Fever.

I guarantee that you will not get bombarded with articles from me. I just don’t have the time.  I’m planning to post from 6 to 12 articles every year.

There are millions of feminist websites –and zillions of anti-feminist ones.  So why am I adding my voice to the chorus?

It’s because there are crucial issues that the feminist movement hasn’t addressed or prioritized yet and I want to give my “stubborn ounces” to push them along.  You will hear more about them as I post more articles.

In the meantime, Louise Otto’s words are as true today as they were in the 1800s:  “Tne history of all times, and of today especially, teaches that women will be forgotten if they forget to think of themselves.”
